The Language Village at Nabeul (LVN for short) set up in 2006, whose motto is “Learn as you play, play as you learn,” is a summer language camp organized by the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education in partnership with the British Council Tunisia. LVN 2015 welcomed 272 graduates this year.

Its major goal is to expose students to English and help them develop a socio-communicative competence. Students engage in fun and creative activities designed to deepen their understanding of English. LVN is also a good platform for cross-cultural exchange since no less than 15 departments of English from all over the country take part in this camp (Greater Tunis area, Sousse, Sfax, Kairouan, Jendouba, Bèja, Gafsa, Moknine, Nabeul, Gabes, etc...

Students have a myriad of opportunities to meet foreign as well as local visitors. Tunisian PhD students are recruited as "LVN Guides" to coach students and encourage them to speak English all the time. Excursions to local attractions like Yasmine Hammamet and cultural trips, namely the trip to the Bardo Museum, provide opportunities to develop communicative skills
